Who can lobby for the eagles?

Cornell University? - I somehow think they have one of the biggest ornithology departments.

Director, Bird Population Studies

Major newspapers? Could someone from NY Times, or... other national paper, plus WA papers do an embarrasing piece on the irony/lunacy of the parking lot?

And could they not point out what happened in Stanley Park at Prospect Point. Similar situation with pavement at the top of sand bluffs which caused the bluffs to landslide due to pavement preventing natural drainage

And just where is the parking lot storm drain going to empty to, if not directly into their feeding ground?

Hi, I'm so glad you produce this site. Thanks!
Honestly, I can't fathom what those arses in the county chambers tell themselves to make their decisions make sense to themselves.

Hundreds of people work themselves to the bone to create the sanctuary, an environmental protectionist buys out the near half of the PR Beach Club land, and then the county somehow has the means to destroy the heart of the project by shoving a few papers around and enforcing an inane parking policy. For god's sake, have any of them ever even been there?

I'm so angry I can hardly cope. What is our recourse?

What a wonderfully written article - I live in Oregon, so probably can't help much up there, but sure sounds like someone needs to do something. This is ridiculous - I am getting tired too of all the struggle to bring back endangered species like Bald Eagles and wolves, and then deciding once they are starting to do well, they don't matter anymore - gr-r-r-r-!

I’m impressed, I will need to say. Actually not often do I encounter a blog site that’s the two educative and entertaining, and allow me tell you, you've got hit the nail on the head. Your notion is outstanding; the situation is one thing that not sufficient people are speaking intelligently about. I am rather delighted that I stumbled across this in my look for one thing relating to this.

Perhaps Chief Seattle said it best when he said that man did not create the web of life but that he is merely one strand of it. What we do to the birds (eagles) and the beasts, we do to ourselves. I so appreciate and honour your eagle reflections. Thank you, Alex. At Wreck Beach, they teach their young to hunt by performing aerial aerobatics far above the crowds in pursuit of seagulls. The tree which GVRD cut in the so-called name of safety near Marine Drive was their ages-old hunting perch. One had to be careful not to have seagull bits and pieces like feet or wings fall upon your head. Nature has many lessons for us but the International Naturist Federation's main tenet is for naturists to always live in harmony with and respect nature, ourselves, and others. I've tried to fashion my life accordingly.
